Coordinator of Residential Services

The Alternative Living Group, Inc. (ALG) is a non-profit, human service agency licensed by the State of New York to provide a wide range of residential, recreational and support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It's our mission to partner with individuals to create quality lives and opportunities for independence.

ALG is seeking a Coordinator of Residential Services to join our Residential team. The Residential team provides housing services to adults with developmental disabilities. The Coordinator of Residential Services would oversee and manage a portion of the agency's Residential houses.

This individual would be expected to ensure the quality of life and services to the individuals served in the program by:
-Supporting the Person Centered Planning process for each individual
-Ensuring the safety needs of the individuals are met
-Auditing the residential homes and paperwork for compliance with ALG and OPWDD standards
-Supervising the residential staff; which includes interviewing, performance management, training, scheduling, and timesheet approval
-Maintaining contact with the agency nurse, nutritionist and other clinical staff
-Scheduling and attending clinical meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings as required
-Overseeing and participating in the agency's rotating on-call system, approximately once per quarter

- Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, or similar is a must
- Three to five years of experience serving the developmentally disabled population preferred
- One year of supervisory/management experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Ability to complete training and obtain all necessary certifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks that include, but are not limited to lifting and bending
- Exemplary writing skills
- Exceptional computer skills

Salary is dependent upon education and experience. Starts at $56,000 annually.
