The Alternative Living Group, Inc. (ALG) is a non-profit, human service agency licensed by the State of New York to provide a wide range of residential, recreational and support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It's our mission to partner with individuals to create quality lives and opportunities for independence.

ALG is seeking a full time Residential Manager to join our Residential team. The Residential team provides housing services to adults with developmental disabilities. The Residential Manager would assist with the oversight of a small group of the agency's residential homes in the Schenectady county area.

This individual would be expected to ensure the quality of life and service to the individuals served in the program by:

- Supporting the Person Centered Planning process for each individual
- Running the residence within the standards set forth by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities
- Maintaining the Residential Habilitation Plan, Plan of Protective Oversight, progress notes, daily goals, and ledgers
- Ensuring the safety needs of the individuals are met
- Auditing the residential homes and paperwork for compliance with ALG and OPWDD standards
- Supervising the residential staff; which includes performance management, training, scheduling, and timesheet approval
- Scheduling and attending staff meetings, and other meetings as required
- Participating in the agency's rotating on-call system

Requirements:

- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in an OPWDD setting
- Knowledge of paperwork required by NYS to document services provided
- Strong leadership skills
- High School Diploma / GED, Bachelor's preferred
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Ability to complete trainings and background checks as required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks that include, but are not limited to lifting and bending
